We have successfully prosecuted personal injury and wrongful death cases since 1994. We have litigated hundreds of injury cases recovering millions of dollars for our clients.
It is important to select a law firm with experienced and knowledgeable attorneys who actually try injury and death cases to a judge and jury. We are a trial law firm. Insurance companies and corporate defendants know our reputation and that translates into higher settlements for our clients and their families.
Examples of Our Work
An electric lawn mower’s blades did not stop after a defective bail in the handle was released by a consumer. Our client suffered severe injuries, including three amputated fingers, as a result of the defective lawn mower design. We retained forensic engineers who inspected and documented the defect in the lawn mower’s handle. We also retained a vocational economist to testify as to our client’s future lost wages and impairment. We promptly sued the lawn mower manufacturer in Federal Court. Two months before trial, the case was settled for a confidential amount.
Our client was backing out of his driveway when a postal truck struck his vehicle at less than 6 miles per hour. Our client had a pre-existing condition that made his vertebrae more susceptible to being fractured. Due to the minor impact, our client became permanently quadriplegic. We sued the United States of America under the Federal Torts Claims Act. After a four-day trial before U.S. District Judge Reed O’Connor in the Fort Worth Division of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas, a verdict of more than $26.5 million was returned favoring our client and his wife. The verdict was supported by multiple expert witnesses secured by our firm, including two orthopedic surgeons, a biomechanical engineer, a mechanical engineer, an accident reconstructionist, a life care planner, and a local home builder. More information on this case may be viewed here.
Our client sustained bi-lateral hip injuries when she was traveling through an intersection and was struck by another driver. The defendant driver was a traveling saleswoman who was distracted and failed to yield the right of way at a stop sign. We sued the driver and the corporation she worked for. The Defendants disputed liability and damages. After a four-day jury trial, a verdict totaling $1,918,657.29 was returned. The evidence we presented included testimony from two board certified hip surgeons, an engineer, a vocational economist, and a registered nurse. The verdict was paid in full by the Defendants.
Two bars over served a defendant who then drove home drunk and struck a ten-year old boy on the side of a roadway. $2.95 million settlement with lifetime medical provided to client. The drunk driver was also criminally prosecuted.
An 18-wheeler rear ended a family traveling on an interstate in New Mexico, killing one family member and injuring another. $6.3 million settlement.
A trash truck veered across its lane, striking a small car. A retired, 70-year-old man was instantly killed. A jury unanimously awarded $833,846.81 and the judgment was upheld by the Texas Supreme Court on appeal. Confidential settlement obtained post appeal.
A four-year-old boy suffered a disfiguring injury to his right arm in a motor vehicle accident caused by his mother, who was the faulty driver. His injuries required reconstructive plastic surgery. $1.2 million settlement.
A 72-year-old grandmother was struck in an intersection in Arizona by a 16-year-old driver who ran a red light. He had obtained his driver’s license four days earlier. The grandmother died one year later of complications from her injuries and an aggravation of a pre-existing condition. Confidential settlement obtained on the eve of trial.
47-year-old woman suffered severe fractures to her arm and wrist while airing up a tire on a dolly (hand truck). The design of the dolly wheel and tire was defective. Confidential settlement obtained. The manufacturer of the dolly issued a nationwide recall of 292,000 dollies with the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission as a result of our litigation. We continued to successfully represent additional plaintiffs, across the nation, against the dolly manufacturer.
Pedestrian was struck by a car in El Paso, dying eight days later. Confidential settlement obtained for the family.
Pedestrian stuck by a car in a shopping center parking lot. Multiple fractures and surgeries. Confidential settlement achieved.
55-year-old disabled woman in a wheelchair was negligently dropped from a mechanical lift provided by a transport service for the disabled. She died from her injuries. Confidential settlement obtained for the family.
Bar manager was assaulted by a young and wealthy college student. The drunk student attempted to sneak his drink out of the bar when the bar manager confronted him. The drunk student severely beat the bar manager and a good Samaritan who attempted to intervene. The entire episode was captured on security video. Confidential settlement achieved for both the bar manager and the good Samaritan. The college student was also criminally prosecuted.
$412,422.07 jury verdict unanimously awarded based upon $39,859.55 in past medical bills for a 32-year-old plaintiff who fell through a false floor in an attic, landing on the concrete garage floor below. The landlord and management company failed to properly warn of the hidden danger. Confidential settlement obtained on appeal.
